Unlike the great wars for defending nation’s territory in history whereby
the heroes born, those noted brilliantly such as Tran Hung Dao, Le Loi,
and Quang Trung. In the cruel illegal departure for promise land, where
the starvation and death but no hero found, the refugees head the fearful
tragedies and unremarkable death. They name themselves “The Vietnamese
Boat People”.
The stories of the boat peoples, their departure for promise land, that
belong to none of politic, none to promoting anybody or any organization,
but with the fearful tragedies the stories definitely flourish the Viet brave,
Viet defiant spirit, especially those of the people who overcome the dangers
to find a real life for themselves.
Along the cruel ways, loves among them found; some was dead shortly
after being born but some others append something beautiful, lovely to the
next generation.

then negotiate with developed countries to expatriate them to for long time
sheltering. This process of UNHCR scatters Vietnamese people to almost
worldwide. Total population of refugees in Hong Kong sometimes mounts
hundred thousand or more.
