boat”. Each respects the other’s characteristic, they both are
knowledgeable people.
Thus, do not presume that Dr. Xuan Lan denies her Vietnamese nature. She
never says HATE or criticizes anyone. She speaks English, spends U.S
Dollar, but is still a Vietnamese.
After the tragedies happen to the Refugee Camps of Vietnamese Boat
peoples in Hong Kong, the officers of UNHCR, the journalists as well as
social activists announce broadly in grief, millions of peoples in the world
feel sympathy and supportive.
I must be sorry that I have tried my best but the gap between the facts and
those illustrated in this story is still huge.
However, I do hope that the readers get relax in reading this book, and I
also believe that this story of tragedy made you sad but proud to be a
Vietnamese, an ethnic of defiant spirit, to be so not only to mighty authority
but also to non human power.
