85 The Lamp
From the lamp of mind, the Buddha’s eyes manifest,
and clearly pass on the way, the four eyes gaping.
Keep transmission of the lamp, shine endlessly,
and empower Zen foresters to help human beings.
CHÂN NGUYÊN (1647 - 1726)
(COMMENT: Light the lamp, clear the darkness, follow the Buddha, and
become a walking temple. When you realize the emptiness nature, the
compassion arises naturally. Keep the light shining, and help others
attain liberation. Nothing is more precious than entering the Bodhisattva
